“Dialogue Of Cultures” camp opened in ETNOMIR

On September 26, 2016 the second session of the Ethnic and Cultural Youth Camp “Dialogue of Cultures” launched its work in the Cultural and Educational Tourist Center “ETNOMIR”. The Camp is organized by the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs with the support of the International Charity Public Fund “Dialogue of Cultures – United World”. This year the event brought together about 200 participants from 56 regions of the country.

During the first day of the Camp, the young people working in the sphere of interethnic relations participated in the strategic session “The Future of National Policy”, led by a member of the Committee on Political Technologies of the Russian Association for Public Relations and the Expert Council of the Union of Russian Cities Stanislav Koryakin. Within the framework of the session, with the assistance of the Camp’s experts, the participants shared their vision of the past, present and future of Russia, and also got more acquainted with the work of the relevant governmental institutions, non-profit organizations, civil society and business institutions. The young leaders formed a list of the country’s long-term goals in the field of interethnic relations. In the end of the day, the participants watched a film on the subject and discussed it in groups.

The program of the Camp gave the young activists an opportunity to take part in the open lectures devoted to the peculiarities of the historical and ethnic diversity of Russia, master classes and presentations of the projects on support and development of ethnic and cultural variety and interethnic dialogue, seminars on project development. The participants could enjoy the evening interactive activities organized by ETNOMIR. In conclusion of the Camp, the best youth initiatives will be marked and some of them will be realized in the territory of the largest ethnographic park museum in Russia - ETNOMIR Center.

Dialogue of Cultures Camp was organized by the Federal Agency for the Nationality Affairs of Russia with the assistance of the International Charity Public Fund “Dialogue of Cultures – United World”. The event was organized as a part of the Federal Targeted Program “Ethnic and Cultural Development of the Russian peoples and Strengthening the Unity of the Russian Nation (2014-2020)”.
