BRONZE BUST OF YURI GAGARIN IN TAJIKISTAN

The ceremony was attended by such honored guests as the Secretary General of the Russian Association for International Cooperation Vladimir Mikhailovich Polozkov and Russian cosmonaut Salizhan Shakirovich Sharipov.
This landmark event will be one of the important steps in preserving and further strengthening friendly ties, mutual understanding and cooperation, and will facilitate the exchange of cultural values between the peoples of Russia and Tajikistan.
The bronze bust of Yu. A. Gagarin, made by sculptor Alexei Leonov, was donated to the Tajik side by the International Charitable Foundation “Dialogue of Cultures - United World” with the active assistance of the Russian Embassy in Tajikistan. Since 2011, the Foundation has been implementing a project to install busts and monuments to Yu. A. Gagarin - as a symbol of dialogue between countries and the unity of the peoples of the Earth for peaceful purposes.
