MONUMENT TO LEV TOLSTOY IN ANTALYA

October 23, 2021 in Antalya on an area of 3000 sq. m opened the Park of Russian-Turkish Friendship named after. L. N. Tolstoy. As part of the project to install busts of the Great Teachers of Humanity, which has been implemented by the Dialogue of Cultures - United World Foundation for many years, the Russian Association for International Cooperation RAMS and the Friendship Society with Turkey donated a bronze bust of Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy to the Turkish side.

The opening ceremony of the park was attended by the Governor of Antalya Ersin Yazici, the mayor of the Muratpasa district Umit Uysal, the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Antalya Oleg Vasilyevich Rogoze, participants of the Festival of New Russian Cinema “Six Premieres”, including famous Russian actors, directors and producers, heads of Turkish and Russian public organizations of the Antalya coast, media representatives, Russian compatriots. The guest of honor was the Chairman of RAMS Sergei Vyacheslavovich Kalashnikov. Russian and Turkish artists performed at the event.

The park is already carrying out projects aimed at popularizing Russian culture and the Russian language in Turkey, building good-neighborly friendly ties between countries. In the near future, such events as the Day of National Unity, the XII Festival of Friendship and Peace, a reading competition and others are planned.
