ON COSMONAUTICS DAY, THE BRONZE BUST OF YURI GAGARIN SOLEMNLY OPENED IN THE CAPITAL OF CAMBODIA

On April 12, 2022 - on Cosmonautics Day, International Day of Human Space Flight - a solemn opening ceremony of a memorial bust of Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was held in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. The bronze bust by sculptor Alexei Leonov was donated to the city by the Dialogue of Cultures - One World Foundation and installed on the territory of the Cambodian Institute of Technology, built and opened with the support of the Soviet Union in the 1960s.

On October 28, 2021, in the capital of Nicaragua, Managua, a bronze bust of Yu. A. Gagarin was solemnly unveiled. The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Nicaragua A. N. Khokholikov, Russian cosmonaut F. N. Yurchikhin, as well as representatives of the Nicaraguan leadership.

MONUMENT TO LEV TOLSTOY IN ANTALYA

October 23, 2021 in Antalya on an area of 3000 sq. m opened the Park of Russian-Turkish Friendship named after. L. N. Tolstoy. As part of the project to install busts of the Great Teachers of Humanity, which has been implemented by the Dialogue of Cultures - United World Foundation for many years, the Russian Association for International Cooperation RAMS and the Friendship Society with Turkey donated a bronze bust of Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy to the Turkish side.

    The Bust of Yuri Gagarin

    In 2017, the Fund intends to install the busts of Y. Gagarin in a number of educational institutions, parks and streets of the various world cities. The first project of installation of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin’s bronze busts was implemented in 2011. The «Dialogue of Cultures - United World» Fund presented over 30 busts to 23 countries over the past 6 years.

Unfortunately, the downside of globalization has become an endless series of political, economic and national conflicts, which can be eliminated only one way - through the art of dialogue.  

Fund «Dialogue of Cultures - United World» retains and promotes the historical uniqueness of ethnic groups living in the modern world   and to create a tool for cultural rapprochement of peoples, through the creation of worldwide sites for a living dialogue of cultures.
