BRONZE BUST OF YURI GAGARIN IN TURKMENISTAN

On April 30, 2021, an anniversary for the whole world, marking the 60th anniversary of the first human flight into space, a memorial bust of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was installed in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat. The ceremony took place with the participation of Russian diplomats, the Russian Ambassador, Turkmen authorities, journalists and honored guests of the event.

The personality of Yuri Gagarin is a symbol of the unification of all humanity. The project to install monuments and busts of the first cosmonaut of the Earth has been implemented by the Dialogue of Cultures - United World Foundation since 2011; the memory of this man is immortalized in various parts of our planet. Similar busts also appeared this year in Belarus, Tunisia and Indonesia. The geography of international dialogue and cooperation between countries is constantly expanding.

The bronze bust was installed on the territory of the future Russian House in Ashgabat, currently functioning as the department of education, science and culture at the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan.
