Ethnic and Cultural camp finished in ETNOMIR

On October 2, 2016 the 2nd Youth Ethnic and Cultural Camp “Dialogue of Cultures” finished in the Cultural and Educational Tourist Center “ETNOMIR”. The Camp was organized by the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs of the Russia (FANA) with the support of the Dialogue of Cultures - United World Fund in the framework of the Federal Targeted Program “Strengthening the Unity of the Russian Nation and Ethnic and Cultural Development of the Russian Peoples (2014-2020)”.

The program included lectures and seminars provided by the experts in the sphere of interethnic relations, recreational activities, project teamwork on four directions:

  • "Educational ethnic project";
  • "Ethnic event";
  • "Ethnic tourism";
  • "Information support for an ethnocultural project".

The leading experts, such as the member of the Committee on Political Technologies of the Russian Association for Public Relations Stanislav Koryakin, the director of the «Ethnology Project», professor of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences Ivan Grinko, the Program Director of the Tolerance Center of the Jewish Museum Anna Makarchuk, the Deputy Director for Organizational and Economic Issues of ZIL Cultural Center Ksenia Filimonova, the Adviser of the Department of Monitoring of Interdenominational and Interethnic Relations of the FANA Vladislav Petrushko, the Head of the Marketing and Information Policy Department of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences Olga Lukinova shared their experience and groundwork with the young professionals.

A special attention of the young participants was paid to the presentation of Tatyana Grigorieva, the assistant of the Head of the ETNOMIR Center. She shared how the idea turned into a unique large-scale platform, where a number of significant social events, such as the camp “Dialogue of Cultures” itself, take place.

The Camp’s session ended with the presentation of over 40 projects aimed at strengthening the international unity of Russia. The presented projects were evaluated by the expert jury, which gathered the Councilor of the FANA Head Alla Semyonysheva, Head of the Department for Implementation and Support of Activities Kamilya Baidil’dina, and the supervisors of the project groups.

According to the jury’s opinion, among the most promising projects were linguistic programming of Bashkir language, Samara photo project, Ural architectural project, youth folklore project, ethnic and cultural consulting, Russian round dance festive games.

The team of the Dialogue of Cultures - United World Fund thanks the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs for the trust and wishes the authors of each project presented at the Camp's session to find the necessary support and realize the ideas conceived for the interethnic unity of the country and preservation of its cultural and ethnic diversity.
