Friendship of peoples conference in ETNOMIR

On October 28, 2016 the Cultural and Educational Center "ETNOMIR" held a conference "Friendship of peoples: the experience of Russia", which gathered the country’s leading experts in the sphere of interethnic relations in the Russian Federation. The Forum has become the fifth event organized by the Fund «Dialogue of Cultures - United World» within the framework of the long-term program for developing international cooperation.

The conference attracted many experts, such as:

  • President of the Fund R.F. Bayramov;
  • Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs of the Russian Federation A.V. Mezhenko;
  • Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region A. V. Nikitenko;
  • Representative of the Directorate of the Moscow House of Nationalities, A.B. Zmetnaya;
  • Deputy Minister, Head of the Department of Internal Policy and Mass Communications of the Kaluga Region, I. M. Fyodorova and many others.

Opening the conference, President of the Fund Ruslan F. Bayramov greeted the audience at the Indian Cultural Center, thanked everybody for participating in the conference, and presented Russian and international activities of the Dialogue of Cultures-United World Fund, including the ETNOMIR project. He emphasized the upcoming opening of the Gallery «Travel around Russia». The Gallery will introduce the visitors of the park to all 85 regions of the Russian Federation; from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka.

Andrei V.Mezhenko addressed the participants of the conference on behalf of the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs. The speaker stated that the national diversity is Russia's forte and underlined that working with young people and promoting tolerance in a multinational country creates a foundation for forming a harmonious society.

The administration of the Kaluga region was represented by Deputy Governor A. Nikitenko. He expressed his deep appreciation of the conference and its impact on state and interstate politics.
