Grand opening of the House of Denmark in ETNOMIR

On April 7, 2019, the opening ceremony of the House of Denmark took place on Peace Street in ETNOMIR. In  the solemn ceremony, the red ribbon was cut by the President of the Dialogue of Cultures - United World Foundation, Ruslan Bayramov, and Member of the Danish Parliament, Maria Krarup.

The Chairman of the Russian Cultural Mission in Denmark, Irina Bjorno was responsible for filling the exposition of the House of Denmark . The house contains items kept and used in the family of Life Bjorno (1937-2015), Danish professor of physics, president of the Danish Academy of Sciences, vice-admiral of the Danish fleet. All guests of the ceremony received gifts from Irina Bjorno - decorated shells from Denmark.

The opening ceremony of the House of Denmark was held in a festive atmosphere and continued with the scientific conference “Russian-Danish relations. Perspectives and historical facts. Unity of the World”, at which reports were read by Maria Krarup, Irina Bjorno and Karl Eric Foreskov . At the end of the conference, all ETNOMIR visitors were treated to a fascinating master class on making “Danish Hearts” - Hans Christian Andersen’s baskets of happiness.

Now every guest of the ethnopark will be able to learn more about the traditions of the people of Denmark and get acquainted with the culture of this wonderful people.
