On August 25, 2019, a bust of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was installed on the Walk of Fame of the Russian Cultural Garden in Cleveland, USA.

This is already the fifth bust of the legendary space explorer installed in the United States. Memorials are at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, the Space Museum in Colorado Springs, the Air and Space Museum in New York, and the Adler Planetarium in Chicago. The event was attended by Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, director of the Russian Cultural Center in Washington Mark Kalinin, founder of the Russian Cultural Garden Svetlana Stolyarova, and public figure Sofia Tabarovsky.

Director of the Russian Cultural Center in Washington, Mark Kalinin, read out a greeting from Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov, which states that the installation of the bust of the first cosmonaut “will serve to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia and the United States, and new generations of researchers from our countries will worthily continue the traditions of their predecessors.”
