President of Dialogue of Cultures – united world receives prize from russian government

The awarding ceremony took place in the Awarding Hall of the House of the Government of Russia in Moscow. The event was honored by the presence of numerous high-ranking guests, including the Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Valery Ryazanskiy, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Education, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, Deputy Minister Alla Manilova, the Director of the Department of Tourism and Regional Policy Olga Yarilova, the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov, the President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Sergey Shpilko, the Head of the Regional Council of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Olga Sanaeva and its Executive Director Maia Lomidze. The honorary awards were handed to the winners by the Vice Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko.

In 2016, the leaders of nine significant social and economic tourist projects received the award:

• "ETNOMIR" Center;
• "Island-grad Sviyazhsk" Monument;
• Tourist complex LLC "Kumis.ru";
• Museum "Battle Glory of the Urals";
• Kolomna Pastilla;
• "Spasskaya Tower" Festival;
• Map of the Great Silk Way route;
• "The Victory Roads" program;
• "China Friendly" program.

In his welcome speech, the Vice Prime Minister said, that, thanks to such projects, Russia's tourist potential is steadily growing. The priority task of government and business is to provide the citizens with safe and comfortable recreation zones. “ETNOMIR” is a good example of the mutual consolidation of the activities of the governmental programs and the efforts of individuals in one project.

The order to bestow the award was signed on October 19, 2016 by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
