The conference «Education as a key to dialogue: technology, innovation, accessibility», organized by the Dialogue of Cultures- United World Fund and the Agency for strategic initiatives, was held on 17-18 February 2017 in the cultural and educational center ETNOMIR.
The conference brought together educational experts, who exchanged successful practical solutions for developing education institutions and projects to address globalization, enhance the role and accessibility of education as a tool for creating society of the future. Three main topics were addressed by the experts: global education challenges and trends, alternative types of extracurricular activities, digital and green education.
The conference was opened by a video address of Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Veniamin Kaganov, speech of the President of Dialogue of Cultures- United World Fund Ruslan Bayramov, Deputy Head of Initiatives Implementation Department of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Nadezhda Ivanova, and Head of the Commission for Education of the Moscow City Duma Anton Molev.
The conference featured four expert sessions: «Practice-oriented education», «Accessibility of education», «Technology world vs ecology world: collision or synergy», «School of the future».
Besides, the program of the conference included exploring and discussing education programs offered by ETNOMIR. «I realized that something incredible is going on, a unique education environment for both kids and adults is being created here», Nadezhda Ivanova stated.
Many inspiring and ambitious plans were put forward during the conference, including the opening of ETNOMIR School, which is scheduled for 2018, and other innovative education projects aimed at increasing accessibility and enhancing the use of practice-oriented education methods.
